Amarillo expansion includes new Domino's and potential Dollar General

Business expansion is moving into North Amarillo, with new developments planned for the area. Sweet Pizza, LLC, a Midland-based franchise owner, plans to open a new 2,462-square-foot Domino's Pizza store at 2017 North Mirror Street. Construction for the $1 million project is scheduled to begin in December 2026, with an expected completion in July 2027.

Additionally, a new Dollar General store is being considered for the River Road and North Amarillo area. The proposed 9,100-square-foot facility, estimated to cost $600,000, would have a construction timeline starting November 2027 with completion in May 2028. A spokesperson for Dollar General stated the company is currently in the due diligence phase and is reviewing the opportunity in Potter County, with a final decision expected by early winter 2028.
