Amasya bus accident leaves 24 injured

A passenger bus traveling from Istanbul to Agri crashed into barriers and went into a ditch in the Merzifon district of Amasya. The accident occurred near Cobanoren, close to Gokcebag village, after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Emergency teams, including police, gendarmerie, AFAD, and medical services, responded to the scene. A total of 24 people were injured, with 2 reported to be in serious condition and 22 suffering minor injuries. All injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals. The Amasya Governor's Office confirmed that both judicial and administrative investigations into the incident have been launched.
