Amasya restaurant robot 'Gayretli' deviates from route and falls down stairs

A service robot named "Gayretli" that had been working for about eight months in a restaurant in Amasya, Turkey, left its programmed route and tumbled down the establishment's exit stairs. Staff watched the incident in shock and recorded the moment, which was later shared widely on social media.

Restaurant manager Ibrahim Nuri Bağçuvan said the team was generally satisfied with the robot but attributed the mishap to recent workload stress. The robot was taken out of service for three days, sent to the manufacturer for maintenance, and then returned to the restaurant.
