Amateur Football Championships Play in Santa Cruz and Capivari, Brazil

In Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, the Campeonato Rural Santa-cruzense de Futebol Amador held two matches on Tuesday at Campo Municipal Aryzão. Rivel defeated Palmeiras de Poço Fundo 5‑0, while Meninos da Vila beat São Paulinho 2‑1, bringing the tournament’s total to eight goals. The municipal sports secretariat, with support from health, mobility and public safety departments, will host additional games on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Segunda Divisão of the Campeonato Amador de Futebol de Capivari continued on Saturday with four fixtures at Estádio Fernando de Marco and Estádio Jair Forti. Nineteen teams across three groups compete for semifinal berths and promotion to the 1ª Divisão for 2027, as well as a spot in the Copa Pedro Irineu. The competition is organized by the local sports secretariat and the Liga Independente de Futebol Amador de Capivari (LIDIAFA).
