Amateur Musical Awards 2026 nominees announced

The nominees for the 2026 Amateur Musical Awards have been announced. Following a seven-year hiatus, the awards and their accompanying gala will return on Monday, October 26, at the Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam.

Nominations span twelve categories, featuring productions, ensembles, creators, and performers from across eight different provinces in the Netherlands. The event is expected to be unique, as approximately 250 nominated amateur performers will participate in the program together on stage. The gala will be accompanied by live music from the Grand Circle Orchestra and hosted by Erik Brey.

A professional jury, chaired by Frank Sanders and including members such as Doris Baaten, Mylène d’Anjou, and Jon van Eerd, will determine the winners. The selection process evaluated submissions based on acting, singing, dancing, passion, and innovation.
