Amateur singing contest “Et si… on chantait!” returns in Chancelade and nearby towns
The third edition of the free amateur singing competition “Et si… on chantait!” will take place in the Dordogne area of France on 1 August, 6 August and 8 August 2026. The opening round is scheduled for 15:00‑20:30 at the Villa Marquet in Chancelade, followed by a second qualifying evening on 6 August at the Château des Izards in Coulounieix‑Chamiers. The grand final will be held on 8 August in the town square of Marsac‑sur‑l'Isle.
The contest is open to singers aged 7 or older, with separate categories for youngsters (7‑16) and adults (17+). Registration will be on‑site from 15:00 on the day of each qualifying event. About 300 spectators attended the previous final, and organizers hope the new format will attract even more participants and audiences.
Local mayors and organizers, including Eric Casabonne, support the event as a community‑focused cultural activity that showcases regional talent across a range of musical styles.
