Amazfit launches T-Rex Dual Solar smartwatch with dual-sided solar charging

Amazfit has launched the T-Rex Dual Solar, a rugged outdoor smartwatch now available on Chinese e-commerce platforms for 4,499 yuan. The device is specifically designed for long-distance adventures where charging access is limited.

The standout feature is a dual-sided solar charging system integrated into both the front and back of the watch. While typical battery life is rated at 25 days, specific light exposure conditions can extend this significantly. Under tests involving three hours of 50,000 lux light daily, battery life can reach 34 days with front-side solar exposure or up to 51 days with rear-side exposure.

Constructed for durability, the watch features a Grade 5 titanium alloy bezel and sapphire glass. It includes a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, a glass-ceramic backplate, and a 10 ATM water resistance rating. Additional features include offline topographic maps, path planning, and optical heart rate sensors for health monitoring.
