Zepp Health, the maker of the Amazfit brand, began deploying firmware version 6.2.104.6 for three high‑end models – the Cheetah 2 Ultra, Amazfit Balance 3 and Amazfit Balance Ultra. The update introduces a new map‑navigation mode, automatic dive‑detection for pressure‑sensor watches, and lets the devices function as Bluetooth speakers, although the speaker output is modest. Additional changes include three UI tweaks, a refreshed finish‑line display on map routes, and an improved lactate‑threshold algorithm aimed at runners.

A review of the latest Amazfit line notes that the brand’s budget‑friendly pricing ($369‑$599) offers features such as dual‑band GPS, offline maps and AI coaching, but the running‑watch experience still lags behind specialist competitors. The Cheetah series targets hybrid athletes and has a partnership with Hyrox, yet serious runners may find the performance metrics and zone labeling less refined than those on Garmin or Coros devices.
