Amazon Ads appoints Carlos Rojas Girao as General Manager of Mexico
Amazon Ads announced that Carlos Rojas Girao will serve as its new General Manager for Mexico. Rojas Girao joins the company after leading the transition of IPG Mediabrands to Omnicom in Mexico and holding senior roles at IPG Mediabrands, including CEO of its Mexican and Peruvian operations and COO for Latin America.
The appointment is part of Amazon's effort to expand its advertising business in Mexico, a market where the company has invested more than 145 billion pesos between 2015 and 2025 and directly employs over 15,000 people. Amazon Ads generated $17.3 billion in advertising revenue in the second quarter of 2026, making it the third‑largest digital ad business worldwide after Google and Meta. Rojas Girao said his focus will be on helping brands of all sizes connect with relevant audiences and deliver measurable results.
