Amazon AWS Expands AI Offerings with Chip Sales and Autonomous Knowledge‑Graph Stack

Amazon Web Services is in early talks to sell its proprietary Trainium AI chips to external companies. Amazon’s AI chief, Peter DeSantis, said the move could build a $50 billion‑a‑year business, but capacity constraints at TSMC and existing demand from AWS customers could limit supply. In parallel, AWS unveiled a “context intelligence” stack that lets AI agents automatically create and update knowledge graphs. While the technology promises faster AI deployment for sectors such as finance and pharma, experts warn that automated graph building could amplify biases and may face scrutiny under the European Union’s AI Act.
