Amazon Brasil expands beauty catalog with international brands

Amazon Brasil has expanded its beauty catalog by adding several international brands, including L'Occitane en Provence, Color Wow, Mugler, and Shiseido. The expansion covers various segments such as hair care, perfumery, and skincare.

Color Wow, a professional hair care brand from the L'Oréal Group, is making its debut in the Brazilian market through Amazon, which claims to be the only marketplace offering the brand in the country. L'Occitane en Provence will also have a direct operation on the platform, while Mugler joins the fragrance selection with its Angel line. Shiseido, a Japanese brand, enters the catalog to increase the availability of Asian skincare products.

This move follows research by NIQ Nielsen indicating high consumer intent for online cosmetic and perfume purchases. The expansion precedes the Amazon Beauty Week, scheduled for September 8 to 15.
