Amazon discounts GTA 6 physical pre-orders for PS5

Amazon is offering a 21 percent discount on the physical pre-order price of Grand Theft Auto VI for the PlayStation 5, reducing the cost from the recommended retail price of 79.99 Euro to 63.20 Euro.

Despite being marketed as a physical box edition, the product does not include a Blu-ray disc. Instead, the packaging contains a download code, a format often referred to as ‘code-in-a-box’. This approach allows players to preload the large game files ahead of the official launch.

The discount significantly alters the price gap between the standard physical edition and the more expensive digital Deluxe or Ultimate editions available on the PlayStation Store. While collectors receive a physical shell for their shelves, the lack of a physical medium reflects a continuing industry trend toward digital distribution.
