Amazon distribution center negotiations continue in Boršov nad Vltavou

Investors are negotiating the construction of a large Amazon distribution center in Boršov nad Vltavou, Czech Republic. The project is currently at a crossroads regarding a planning agreement with the local municipality.

Representatives from Accolade and Garbe stated that their preferred approach is to reach an agreement with the town through a planning contract, which would involve building a single hall. This agreement could provide the municipality with a 20 million CZK contribution or the construction of missing sidewalks. However, the investors are also considering alternatives that would allow the project to proceed without using municipal land.

The local council has postponed its decision on the planning agreement until mid-September to allow representatives more time to review the details. Investors expressed regret over the delay, noting that it extends the period of uncertainty regarding the final form of the project. Three development variants are currently being considered, ranging from the original plan of four halls to a single distribution center.
