Amazon expands Alexa voice and personality customization options

Amazon has introduced new voice and personality customization options for Alexa, aimed at making interactions more entertaining and less robotic. Eligible users, including Alexa+ and Amazon Prime members, can access up to eight different voice types depending on their region.

In addition to voice changes, users can select from several personality styles that alter the tone of Alexa's responses without changing its underlying intelligence or accuracy. Available personality options include Brief, Chill, Sweet, Sassy, and Original. While these updates provide a more personalized experience, they do not improve the AI's functional capabilities or the precision of its answers.

Settings can be adjusted via voice commands by asking Alexa to change its voice, or through the Alexa app under device settings. These customizations are device-specific, meaning users must configure each Echo or smart device individually to maintain a consistent personality throughout their home.
