Tomb Raider: Catalyst delayed to 2028

Amazon Games head Jeffrey Gattis told The Game Business that the upcoming Lara Croft title Tomb Raider: Catalyst will no longer launch in 2027 as previously planned, but is now slated for 2028. The announcement came alongside a reminder that the series’ remake, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, is scheduled for release on 12 February 2027.

The two projects are being developed by Crystal Dynamics (with Flying Wild Hog assisting on Legacy of Atlantis) and will be published worldwide by Amazon Games. Both titles are expected to appear on consoles, PC and Amazon’s Luna cloud‑gaming service. Amazon Games has not issued a formal press release confirming the delay, stating that no new official information is available.

The delay was first reported after Gattis’ interview, which was covered by news outlets in English, French, Turkish, Dutch and Portuguese. The games were originally unveiled at The Game Awards 2025, and the new 2028 window gives the developers additional time to refine the titles before launch.
