Amazon Games delays Tomb Raider: Catalyst to 2028
Amazon Games boss Jeffrey Gattis confirmed that the upcoming Tomb Raider: Catalyst will not arrive until 2028. The game was originally slated for 2027 alongside Legacy of Atlantis but has been pushed back without a specific window.
Legacy of Atlantis is now scheduled for release on February 12, 2027. It is a remake that emphasizes puzzle‑solving set in locations inspired by Greek and Egyptian mythology.
Both titles are being developed by Crystal Dynamics, using Unreal Engine 5, and will be published by Amazon Games. The narrative for Catalyst places Lara Croft in Northern India after a mythical cataclysm, while Legacy of Atlantis focuses on exploration and environmental challenges.
Alix Wilton Regan will voice Lara Croft in both games, taking over from Camilla Luddington. The staggered releases reflect Amazon’s strategy of delivering two major Tomb Raider entries within a short timeframe.
