Manga industry launches major digital sales and global translation initiatives

Various digital manga platforms and publishers are launching major sales and global expansion initiatives.

Amazon's Kindle store is hosting a 50% point redemption sale for the Amazon Manga Weekend Festival, featuring 2000s classics such as ‘Naruto’, ‘Gantz’, and ‘Urusei Yatsura’.

LINE Manga has announced its ‘Megatoku’ sale, offering 60% off coupons for popular series like ‘March Comes in Like a Lion’ and discounted volumes for titles including ‘Kaiji’ and ‘Made in Abyss’.

In terms of global accessibility, Shueisha is launching ‘MANGA MILLION’, a project to translate approximately one million pages of manga into over 100 languages to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Other regional promotions include Overlap offering 27 popular light novel and comic titles for free, and Mynavi Publishing’s Tech Book Zone Manatee providing 20% off coupons for technical books to commemorate the upcoming Technical Book Doujinshi Exhibition.
