Amazon launches Second Hand Deals and tiered discount promotions
Amazon has announced the return of its Second Hand Deals event, running from September 1 to September 10. The promotion offers significant discounts on tens of thousands of returned and refurbished items across categories such as electronics, kitchenware, gaming, and DIY tools.
In Europe, Amazon provides over 60 million refurbished items. The company has invested more than $4 billion in European expertise, technology, and personnel to manage returns and recommerce. According to Rory Feldman, head of Returns and Recommerce for Amazon in Europe, the demand for used goods is growing, with European sales exceeding €2 billion last year. Customers saved approximately €380 million through these purchases.
In addition to the refurbished goods event, Amazon is running the ‘Offers from A to Z’ promotion in Italy from September 1 to September 3. This initiative provides tiered discount coupons of €10, €15, or €20 based on minimum spending thresholds of €50, €75, and €100, respectively. These coupons are limited to the first 50,000 users per tier.
