Amazon MGM Studios to adapt Garth Ennis comic Freddie the Fix
Amazon MGM Studios is developing a feature film adaptation of Freddie the Fix, an R-rated horror-noir comic series created by Garth Ennis. The project marks the first film adaptation for Ninth Circle, a horror imprint under Image Comics co-founded by Ennis.
Lawrence Lamont, known for directing One of Them Days, is attached to direct the supernatural thriller. The screenplay is being written by Kalen Egan and Travis Sentell. The story follows Freddie, a fixer for Hollywood’s supernatural elite, who possesses the ability to make incriminating evidence disappear.
Production will be handled by Kimberly Steward and Alex Foster for K Period Media, alongside Kenya Barris for Khalabo Ink Society. Garth Ennis, Adam Glass, Jeremy Allen, Michael Bogner, and David Stone are set to serve as executive producers.
