Amazon MGM Studios to develop ‘A Murder to Remember’ film

Amazon MGM Studios is developing a feature film adaptation of Brynn Kelly’s Audible Original, ‘A Murder to Remember’. The project is described as a romantic thriller that blends elements of Jane Austen with a mystery style.

Michael Sucsy will write the screenplay and direct the film. He is also an executive producer through his company, HungryDuck Productions. The project was developed in collaboration with Jackie Levine of Audible and Moritz Polter of Windlight Pictures.

The story follows an American art expert and a British aristocrat who believe they witnessed a murder at an English estate following a night of heavy drinking. Because they experienced a blackout and the body has disappeared, they lack physical evidence and struggle to find anyone who believes their account, all while potentially being pursued by a killer.
