Notably, the Fire TV Stick 4K Select has been flagged by some reviewers as less desirable due to its use of Vega OS instead of Android, which limits app installation via APK.

In Japan, the new Fire TV Stick HD model is on sale for 4,980 yen, representing a 29% discount from its usual price of 6,980 yen. This newer model, released in April 2026, is reported to be 30% faster than its predecessor and features a slimmer design that allows for direct power via a TV's USB-A port.
