Amazon Prime Video announces new releases for August 17–23

Amazon Prime Video has announced its lineup of new television shows and movie releases for the week of August 17 to August 23, 2026.

Key film additions include the DC Comics-based movie ‘Blue Beetle’, directed by Ángel Manuel Soto and starring Xolo Maridueña. Although the film underperformed at the box office, it previously became a highly-watched title on HBO Max in the US. The comedy ‘Good Fortune’, written and directed by Aziz Ansari, is also joining the platform. The film features a cast including Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Keanu Reeves.

Additionally, the dark comedy thriller ‘Is God Is’, directed by Aleshea Harris, will be released. The film follows twin sisters seeking revenge against their father. Other scheduled content includes ‘Yankees on Prime’, ‘NOVAK DJOKOVIC: The Wolf in Winter’, ‘WNBA on Prime’, ‘Back to the 90s’, and ‘NWSL on Prime’.
