Prime Video leads Brazilian streaming market as Netflix falls to third

A report by JustWatch for the second quarter of 2026 indicates a shift in the Brazilian streaming market. Amazon Prime Video maintains its leadership with 21% of consumer interest, despite a 1% annual decline.

Disney+ has seen significant growth, rising to 19% interest and securing second place. This marks a three-percentage-point increase compared to the same period in 2025, allowing it to surpass Netflix.

Netflix has fallen to third place with 18% interest, representing a three-percentage-point drop over the last year. This is the largest annual decline among the top platforms. Other notable rankings include HBO Max in fourth with 11%, Apple TV+ in fifth with 9%, and Globoplay in sixth with 8%.

The JustWatch study measures consumer engagement through interactions such as searches, clicks on offers, and adding titles to lists, rather than total subscriber counts.
