Amazon Prime Video releases Ride or Die action series

Amazon Prime Video has released Ride or Die, a new female-focused action-adventure series. The show follows two best friends, Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham) and Debbie (Octavia Spencer), as they flee across Europe.

Judith, an elite professional assassin known as Whiptail, and Debbie, a Yale Law School graduate, find their long-standing friendship tested when secrets regarding their true identities and connections to political corruption and the Albanian mob are revealed. The series features a mix of comedy and high-stakes action, drawing comparisons to films like Thelma & Louise and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

The production includes direction from Peyton Reed and showrunner Matt Miller, with a script created by Tessa Coates. The series explores themes of friendship and the bond between women of a certain age while navigating threats from assassins and Interpol.
