Amazon Prime Video releases teaser for ‘Boku no Chikyu wo Mamotte’ live-action drama

Amazon Prime Video has released a super teaser for the upcoming Prime Original drama ‘Boku no Chikyu wo Mamotte’ (Please Save My Earth), scheduled for global exclusive streaming in autumn 2027. The series is a live-action adaptation of the legendary science fiction manga by Saki Hitowatari, which has sold over 16 million copies.

Starring Alice Hirose as the pivotal character Karen, the production is directed by Takahiro Miki. The story follows high school students who discover they share dreams of a past life as scientists living on a lunar base. The teaser showcases the scale of the production, transitioning from modern Tokyo to a fantastical lunar setting using advanced VFX provided by THE SEVEN.

During a recent presentation in Tokyo, Director Miki expressed his long-standing desire to adapt this specific work, noting its status as a legendary series. Hirose described the experience of filming on large-scale sets that blended real botanical elements with futuristic visions.
