Amazon Prime Video expands BookTok adaptations

Amazon Prime Video is expanding its catalog of adaptations based on popular BookTok literature. The streaming service has announced it will film Lilly Lucas’s bestseller ‘This could be love’ in partnership with Gaumont. Set in Hawaii, the story follows a tennis player attempting a comeback.

Additionally, the adaptation of Mercedes Ron’s ‘Drawn Together’ has already reached the top of Prime Video’s film charts. Starring Ester Expósito, the film marks the beginning of the ‘Marfil’ saga, with a sequel already filmed. Amazon MGM Studios has secured a first-look deal with Ron to further develop her works.

In cinema, the British romantic comedy ‘Finding Emily’ is currently screening. Starring Angourie Rice and Spike Fearn, the film follows a man’s chaotic search for a woman named Emily on a university campus.
