Amazon Prime Video to produce Stephen King’s ‘Crouch End’ series in the UK
Amazon Prime Video has greenlit a six-episode limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s 1980 short story, ‘Crouch End’. The project marks the first time a King adaptation will be produced in the United Kingdom.
Set in the North London neighborhood of the same name, the mystery-thriller follows international film star Doris Freeman, who claims supernatural phenomena are linked to her husband’s disappearance. The plot involves Inspector Ted Vetter as he investigates the claims.
The series will be written by Paul Tomalin and directed by Tom Shankland. Production is being handled by Mammoth Screen and Fifth Season in collaboration with Amazon. Casting is reportedly currently underway.
