Amazon Prime Video to stream new Baywatch series in 2027

Amazon Prime Video has secured the international streaming rights to a new reboot of the 1990s hit series Baywatch. Produced by Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, the 12‑episode series is slated for release in 2027 and will be available in multiple territories including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Turkey, India, Latin America and the Benelux region. The show follows a new team of lifeguards on Malibu’s iconic beach and features Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon alongside Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Noah Beck and model Brooks Nader. Amazon also plans to add the original Baywatch series and the Baywatch Hawaii seasons to its catalogue. Production wrapped recently, with Nader’s final day on set highlighted in social‑media posts.
