Amazon re-hires former employees for AI and machine learning roles

One specific internal campaign, referred to as ‘Swami’s Boomerang Reengagement Initiative,’ is targeting specialists to bolster technology teams under the leadership of AWS Vice President Swami Sivasubramanian. Recruiters have reportedly offered expedited interview processes to former staff to remain competitive in the high-demand AI talent market.

While the company is reaching out to former personnel, Amazon representatives have clarified that existing workplace attendance and return-to-office policies remain unchanged. The company maintains that contacting former staff is a standard practice to address evolving business needs.
