Amazon releases updated Fire TV Stick 4K and HD models

Amazon has updated its Fire TV Stick lineup, including the Fire TV Stick 4K and the Fire TV Stick HD. The Fire TV Stick 4K offers 4K HDR streaming in a compact dongle design that can be powered via a TV's USB port, reducing the need for external wall outlets. A significant update includes a redesigned, more ergonomic remote that departs from the symmetrical wand design used since 2017.

While the 4K model provides high-resolution streaming, it lacks support for Dolby Vision. For users seeking that specific HDR format, the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is an alternative option. The Fire TV Stick HD remains a practical, low-cost solution for standard streaming, also capable of being powered by a USB port and featuring Alexa integration.

Other competing devices in the market, such as the Roku Streaming Stick HD, offer different features like compatibility with multiple voice assistants including Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant.
