Prime Video secures global streaming rights for Baywatch reboot

Amazon's Prime Video has signed a comprehensive deal with Fremantle and Fox Entertainment to obtain the international streaming rights for the upcoming 12‑episode Baywatch reboot, slated to debut in 2027. The series will launch on Prime Video in a wide range of territories, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Benelux countries, Turkey, Canada, Latin America and India, while the original nine seasons and both seasons of Baywatch Hawaii will also be made available in those markets. Produced by Fremantle together with Fox Entertainment, the reboot stars Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon alongside Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Noah Beck and Brooks Nader, with several original‑series cast members returning. Fox Entertainment Global retains U.S. distribution rights, and Fremantle handles international sales. The original Baywatch was a global phenomenon, at its peak reaching over a billion viewers weekly across more than 200 countries.
