Amazon Web Services launches AI program for utility grid planning

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the Agentic Grid Planning program, designed to assist utilities in accelerating interconnection studies through the use of AWS-managed AI agents. The program aims to address the growing complexity and volume of interconnection requests for energy resources. In collaboration with Duke Energy, the program has demonstrated significant efficiency gains, reducing data preparation tasks from two weeks of manual labor to just a few hours.

Separately, AWS consulting partner New Math Data has achieved AWS Premier Tier Services Partner status, the highest tier within the AWS Partner Network. The company, which focuses on production AI and agentic systems, earned this designation based on its technical expertise and track record of delivering sophisticated data and AI solutions on the AWS platform.
