Amazon Web Services launches AI training in Peru and new enterprise AI assistant

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched “AWS Entrena Perú,” a free online platform designed to teach artificial intelligence and cloud computing in Spanish. Developed in partnership with Fundación Romero and endorsed by the U.S. Embassy in Lima, the initiative aims to train 250,000 Peruvians by 2028. The program seeks to address a local talent gap where tech vacancies currently outpace qualified candidates.

In a separate technological development, AWS has introduced Amazon Quick, an AI assistant designed to function as an intelligent work layer. Unlike traditional chatbots, Quick integrates with enterprise tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, and Jira to convert queries into actionable results. The platform utilizes a personal knowledge graph to understand organizational roles and priorities, allowing it to automate complex workflows, generate documents, and execute multi-stage tasks through specialized agents.
