Amazonas football club hit with six FIFA transfer bans ahead of Paysandu match

Amazonas SAF has accumulated six FIFA transfer bans because of outstanding financial obligations, including three three‑period bans and three indefinite bans that remain in force until the club proves the debts are settled. The sanctions prevent the club from registering any new players—whether permanent signings, loans or international transfers—during the periods covered by each ban.

The bans come as Amazonas prepares to face Paysandu on 26 July 2026 at the Carlos Zamith stadium in Manaus, the 15th round of Brazil’s Série C. Amazonas sit 14th with 17 points, while Paysandu are fourth. Despite the registration restrictions, the club will continue to compete in the tournament.
