Amazonas health officials provide medical care to students

In Amazonas, Venezuela, health authorities conducted a comprehensive medical and social care day at Liceo Centenario in Puerto Ayacucho to mark the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The initiative, titled ‘Regreso a Clases con más energía y actitud positiva’, provided 324 services including general medicine, nutrition, vaccination, mental health, and disability support.

The program was a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Health, the Amazonas State Government, and the Executive Secretariat for Youth and University Student Care (SEJEU). Officials stated the goal is to ensure students are physically and mentally prepared for their studies. A follow-up plan, ‘Salud va a la Escuela’, is scheduled to begin in various educational institutions across the state next week.
