Amazonas hosts forum for young accounting leaders

The VI Forum of Young Accounting Leaders of Amazonas took place in Manaus, hosted by the Regional Accounting Council of Amazonas (CRCAM) and its Young Commission. The event, held at the Manaus Plaza Shopping & Convention Center, focused on the theme ‘From Operational to Strategic: The New Accountant,’ aiming to discuss the modernization and future directions of the profession.

Participants included university students, accounting professionals, and representatives from related fields. Discussions centered on how accounting has evolved from a purely operational role into a strategic tool for business decision-making and public management. The forum featured keynote speeches, panels on innovation, marketing workshops, and discussions on high performance and career growth.

Representatives from the Manaus City Hall, including acting Comptroller General Lucilene Viana, emphasized the importance of ethical and qualified leadership in ensuring transparent public resource management and efficient governance.
