Amazonas Legislative Assembly reinforces child and adolescent protection

The Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam) has reaffirmed its commitment to the rights and protection of children and adolescents in the state. Through various legislative measures, the parliament aims to strengthen support networks and safety mechanisms for youth.

Key legislative actions include Law No. 6.454/2023, which implements the ‘Infância Protegida’ app to facilitate anonymous reporting of rights violations. Additionally, Law No. 7.907/2025 establishes a Code of Conduct for sports professionals working with minors to prevent abuse. Other measures include the creation of a state database for protecting youth (Law No. 5.786/2022) and requirements for hospitals to report suspected cases of abuse.
