Amazonas Public Defender offers free legal aid in Santo Antônio do Içá

The Amazonas State Public Defender's Office (DPAM) will provide free legal assistance to the population of Santo Antônio do Içá from September 14 to 18. The services will be held at the Social Assistance Secretariat in the Santa Etelvina neighborhood from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Legal services will include guidance and procedural monitoring for matters such as alimony, divorce, recognition and dissolution of stable unions, guardianship, and the regularization of public records. Public defender Murilo Breda noted that this initiative is part of a strategy to ensure service continuity in municipalities where the institution does not yet have a physical headquarters.

Additionally, the DPAM will monitor the legal status of individuals detained at the local Civil Police Station to ensure their rights are protected according to legislation. Residents are advised to bring identification, such as a birth certificate or photo ID, and proof of residence to facilitate the process.
