Amazonas offers various professional training and employment opportunities

The state of Amazonas is launching several initiatives to enhance professional qualification and employment. The Centro de Educação Tecnológica do Amazonas (Cetam) is offering 50,150 free online vocational courses across 41 subjects, including Artificial Intelligence, Python programming, and digital design. Registrations for these distance learning programs are scheduled for November 3 and 4.

Additionally, the Amazonas State Transit Department (Detran-AM) is providing 1,180 free training spots through its Public Transit School (Eptran) for courses such as defensive driving and vehicle mechanics. In Manaus, the municipal government is hosting a large-scale job fair involving 30 companies to connect workers with opportunities in sectors like commerce, industry, and logistics. The Sine Manaus service is also reporting 523 available job openings across various sectors.

In a legal development, the Amazonas Court of Justice has ruled that the state must reserve vacancies for people with disabilities (PCDs) in all future public examinations for the Amazonas Military Police (PM-AM). The state has also been ordered to pay R$ 200,000 in collective moral damages to the State Fund for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
