Amazonian theater festival tours 13 Portuguese cities

The fifth edition of the “Todos São Palco – Mostra de Teatro Além do Equador” theater festival is touring 13 Portuguese cities, including Loulé, Coimbra, Porto, and Aveiro, from September 17 to October 17. Under the theme “Amazónias Futuras,” the program features six shows, five of which originate from the Amazon region, showcasing artists from Brazil, Colombia, and Peru.

The festival addresses themes such as climate change, colonization, indigenous peoples, and South American cultural identities. Featured productions include “As Cores da América Latina” by the Manaus-based Panorando company and “O Avesso da Pele” by the São Paulo-based Coletivo Ocutá. In addition to performances, the event includes workshops and masterclasses on topics such as sustainability, performance, and dramaturgy.
