AmaZulu FC advances to Carling Knockout quarter-finals

AmaZulu FC secured a place in the Carling Knockout quarter-finals following a 1-0 victory over Kruger United at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

The decisive moment occurred in the 75th minute when AmaZulu was awarded a penalty after a handball by Tavengwa Tatenda. Hendrick Ekstein converted the penalty to provide the winning goal.

Despite Kruger United creating several opportunities, including a close-range effort by Mancoba Zwane and a late chance by Ngema, AmaZulu goalkeeper Olwethu Mzimela made critical saves to maintain the lead. The win continues AmaZulu’s strong form in the current campaign, while Kruger United remains in 12th position in the standings.
