Ambassador Cruise Line celebrates 35 years of the Ambience
Ambassador Cruise Line’s vessel, Ambience, recently celebrated 35 years of service. Originally delivered as the Regal Princess in 1991 for Sitmar Cruises, the 70,000-ton ship was later transferred to Princess Cruises and subsequently to P&O Cruises Australia as the Pacific Dawn. Following its acquisition by Ambassador Cruise Line in 2021 and a major modernization project, the ship began welcoming guests in early 2022.
In a recent promotional effort, the Ambience hosted a familiarization trip in Honfleur and Normandy for 30 travel agents. The itinerary included excursions through the Pays d’Auge countryside, visits to local farms to sample regional products like cider and cheese, and guided tours of Honfleur’s historic Sainte-Catherine church. The event aimed to provide travel professionals with firsthand experience of the destination to better assist future passengers.
