Ambassador Endoni urges Golden Eaglets to succeed in WAFU-B U-17 Championship

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Syndoph Paebi Endoni, has officially welcomed the Golden Eaglets ahead of their campaign in the WAFU-B U-17 Championship in Ouagadougou. During a dinner held at the Nigerian Embassy, Endoni urged the players to represent the nation with pride and to win for the millions of Nigerian football supporters globally.

Endoni emphasized the social importance of the tournament, noting that football serves as a vital tool for steering young people away from criminality. He promised the squad that the thousands of Nigerian residents living in Burkina Faso would provide strong support in the stands during their matches.

The Golden Eaglets are placed in Group B alongside Niger Republic and the host nation, Burkina Faso. Their upcoming match is scheduled against Niger Republic on Wednesday. The championship also serves as a qualifier for next year’s U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
