Ambassador Zlatko Kramarić addresses Albanian protests and Hashim Thaçi trial

Croatian Ambassador Zlatko Kramarić has addressed recent civil protests in Albania, stating that protesting is a right of citizens and that the government must listen to their messages. During a meeting with youth representatives, Kramarić discussed the European integration process and the role of the new generation in completing Albania's transition.

Regarding the judicial proceedings against former Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi in The Hague, Kramarić emphasized that the case should be viewed strictly within a legal framework. He noted that while judicial decisions must be respected as a foundation of the rule of law, a clear distinction must be made between the individual case of Mr. Thaçi and the state of Kosovo. He expressed hope that the process remains based on legal facts and evidence rather than political dimensions, ensuring it does not negatively impact Kosovo's international image or European prospects.
