Ambato-El Corazón road construction advances in Ecuador

Construction is progressing on the Ambato-El Corazón road, with machinery from Tungurahua currently operating in the Churolozán–El Romerillo sector of Cotopaxi. The project aims to open five new kilometers of the route through expansion and grading work.

Local residents in Pangua report that the connection is already reducing travel times to Ambato from approximately three and a half hours to two hours. This reduction in travel time is expected to lower fuel costs and facilitate the commercialization of products and access to services for local communities.
