Ambiq Micro adds Singapore Exchange listing to boost Asian AI‑chip growth

Ambiq Micro, a maker of ultra‑low‑power AI chips, announced a dual listing on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) on July 30, 2026, exactly one year after its debut on the New York Stock Exchange at $24 per share. CEO Fumihide “Humi” Esaka said the move aligns with a long‑term strategy to serve the Asian market, citing Singapore’s talent pool, political neutrality and multilingual workforce as key advantages.

The company’s R&D and engineering teams have been based in Singapore since an investment by the Singapore Economic Development Board’s arm, EDBI, in 2018. Ambiq Micro is growing revenue at 60‑70% year‑on‑year, prompting analyst Northland to raise its price target to $86 in July 2026. Esaka highlighted the technology’s ability to run AI computations on devices without cloud connectivity, improving privacy and enabling new health‑monitoring applications. He pledged to return in a year to assess growth, job creation and product development progress in the region.
