A19 motorway accident involves Porsche and SUV in Sicily

A violent road accident occurred on the A19 motorway between Termini Imerese and Palermo, involving a vintage Porsche and a Toyota SUV. The collision, which took place around 10:00 AM, resulted in heavy damage to both vehicles; the Porsche struck the guardrail after losing its front bumper, while the SUV sustained significant damage to its front end.

An ambulance from Soccorso Nisseno, which was en route to the Civico Hospital in Palermo for a scheduled transfer, happened to be passing the scene at the moment of the crash. The crew, consisting of Gentile S. and his assistant C., immediately stopped to provide first aid, secure the individuals involved, and alert the 118 emergency operations center.

The prompt intervention of the ambulance crew received formal praise from the European Emergency Number (NUE) operations center, 118 emergency operators, and the Polizia Stradale for their sense of duty and efficiency. The accident caused traffic delays in the area while emergency services managed the scene and cleared the vehicles.
