Ambulance delay in Newnham leaves elderly man in pain

A 74-year-old man, Bob Noble, experienced a three-and-a-half-hour wait for an ambulance after breaking his hip during a gardening accident in Newnham. His wife, Kathryn Noble, reported that the delay left him lying on cold concrete in what he described as “excruciating pain.”

The family expressed concerns regarding the state of emergency services, citing an under-resourced department and pressure on paramedics. While expressing respect for frontline workers, the Nobles called for greater transparency, accountability, and a clear plan to address service delays and staffing issues.
