AMC+ and Crave release mystery-thriller series YAGA

AMC+ and Crave have released “YAGA,” an eight-episode mystery-thriller series that reimagines the Baba Yaga folklore as a contemporary noir. Set in the coastal town of Whittock, British Columbia, the story follows private investigator Charlie Rapp, played by Noah Reid, as he attempts to solve the disappearance of Henry Park, the heir to a prominent local fishery.

The series, adapted from a stage play by showrunner Kat Sandler, features a cast including Carrie-Anne Moss, Clark Backo, and Hudson Williams. A central plot element involves Williams playing a dual role, appearing as both the missing Henry Park and a boy named Logan who shares a striking resemblance to him.

Directed by David Frazee and Rachel Talalay, the production explores themes of ancient magic and local secrets within a small community. The series is released weekly on Fridays.
