AMC+ to premiere mystery series ‘Yaga’ on October 23

AMC+ has announced the release date for ‘Yaga’, an eight-episode mystery thriller series that reimagines the Slavic myth of Baba Yaga. The series is scheduled to premiere in the United States on October 23, 2026, with a two-episode launch, followed by weekly episodes and a two-episode finale on November 27.

Based on the play by Kat Sandler, who also serves as writer and executive producer, the story is set in the coastal town of Whittock. The plot follows private investigator Rapp, played by Noah Reid, as he investigates the disappearance of Henry Park, the heir to a local fishing company. The investigation involves a cast including Carrie-Anne Moss as a university professor and Clark Backo as a local detective, navigating a plot filled with ancient magic and secret lives.

Prior to its streaming debut, the series will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 17, followed by a panel at New York Comic Con on October 9.
